OLR India ("we", "our", or "us") operates the platform available at olrindia.com and the OLR India mobile app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

• Name and email address (via registration or Google Sign-In)
• Mobile number and address details (optional, provided by you)
• Location data (only if you grant permission)
• Profile photo (optional, uploaded by you)
• Device token for push notifications (FCM)

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To connect customers with local vendors
• To send account-related emails (verification, password reset)
• To send push notifications about chats and activity
• To improve our platform and services

Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. We do not access any other Google account data.

Data We Store

• Account information (name, email, mobile, location)
• Product listings created by vendors
• Chat messages between users and vendors
• Payment history for vendor subscriptions
• Wishlist items saved by users
• Profile and product photos stored on Amazon S3

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted passwords (bcrypt), HttpOnly JWT cookies, HTTPS, and Firebase security rules to protect your data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication and real-time chat
• Amazon S3 — photo storage
• Razorpay — payment processing (vendors only)
• Resend — transactional emails

Each service has its own privacy policy.

Data Deletion & Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time.

To delete your account via the app:

1. Open the OLR India app
2. Go to Profile → Danger Zone
3. Tap "Delete my account"
4. Confirm with your password (or Google re-authentication for Google accounts)

When you delete your account, we permanently delete:

• Your profile and account information
• All product listings and images (vendors)
• All chat conversations and messages
• Wishlist items (users)
• All tokens and session data
• Your profile photo

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Payment records may be retained for legal and accounting purposes only, with your personal details anonymised.

You may also request data deletion by emailing us at support@olrindia.com. We will process your request within 7 business days.

Your Rights

• Request deletion of your account and data at any time
• Request an export of your personal data
• Withdraw consent for location access via your device settings
• Opt out of push notifications via your device settings

Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 7 business days, except payment records which may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law.

Children's Privacy

OLR India is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
